Cork Sample

All of our cork is sustainably grown by a third-generation family-owned farm in Portugal.

Cork bark is hand harvested from cork oak trees that can live for up to 200 years and require no chemical inputs. This makes it a rapidly renewable material and a powerful carbon sink.

Cork’s inherent qualities include being hypoallergenic, moisture and fire resistant, sound and heat insulating as well as soft and resilient to touch.

We offer our cork in natural or dark brown. Dark brown cork is achieved through a toasting process, allowing us to use cork that is discolored or otherwise unusable. This process not only eliminates a potential waste material, but it does so while adding value through its rich chocolate coloration.

Our cork samples are about 3 inches square.
